BOXES, DISCOVERY KITS, AND TOYS
DISCOVERY KITS
Discovery Kits are take-home kits for exploration and discovery. We offer discovery kits for different age groups and on a variety of different themes. Each kit checks out for three weeks, and can be picked up and returned at the Circulation Help Desk. To check out a Discovery Kit, start by placing a hold through our library catalog.
We also have a large collection of board games you can check out and take home. See our Board Game Collection!
Boxes are STEM-focused educational toys to use in the library.
- They are available any time the library is open.
- They check out to you for in-library use only.
- They must be checked out by a Provo City Library cardholder in good standing.
- Patrons may check out one Box at a time.

- There are three types of kits geared to three different age groups.
- To request a Discovery Kit, please place a hold on the desired kit either online, over the phone, or in person.
- Click on any of the kits below to find them in the Provo City Library's Catalog.
- Patrons will receive a Hold Notification when their requested Discovery Kit is ready for them.
- All Discovery Kits can be picked up and turned in at the Circulation Desk. Please do not put them in the book drops.
Things to Know About Discovery Kits:
- Discovery Kits must be checked out by a Provo City Library cardholder in good standing.
- Discovery Kits check out for three weeks with no renewals.
- Patrons may have two Discovery Kits checked out at a time.
Toys are take-home items designed for open-ended play and fun.
- The toy collection includes classic options such as LEGO Duplo bricks, Lincoln Logs, and wooden car sets.
- Toy check out periods and fines may be different than other items. Ask a staff member for more information.
- They must be checked out by a Provo City Library cardholder in good standing.
- Toys can be picked up and turned in from the Circulation Desk.

Los Discovery Kits en español son kits para llevar a casa para la exploración y el descubrimiento. Ofrecemos Discovery Kits en español para niños de 3 a 5 años y en una variedad de temas diferentes. Cada kit se puede prestar por tres semanas y se puede recoger y devolver en el Circulation Desk. Para sacar un Discovery Kit en español, comience haciendo una reserva en el catálogo de la biblioteca.
